School Profile

The Hazeldean Elementary Program has 140 students from kindergarten through grade six. Our Interactions program supports students in grades 1 - 6 who are on the autism spectrum and require specialized support.

Pre-Kindergarten provides programming in a play based, language enriched environment for children with severe delays. Programming is available for children who meet criteria for PUF funding (severe delays) from 2 years and 8 months to 4 years 8 months of age by September 1.  Each classroom includes a team of professionals consisting of a teacher, educational assistants and consultants (Speech Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist and Physical Therapist). Programming will focus on communication, fine motor, gross motor, and social skills in preparation for kindergarten. All children transition into their community kindergartens when they are of age.
